Women Can Fly (WCF) hosted a Career Networking Event to celebrate International Women’s Day, in collaboration with AJCSoc, a student association at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. The event was held at the #PwC Sydney Office (Barangaroo).

Event Overview & Purpose
This event was career-focused, with the aim of bridging the gap between the type of talent companies are seeking and the career aspirations of students and young professionals. In a casual and interactive setting, participants had the valuable opportunity to hear real, first-hand career stories directly from professionals who are actively working on the front lines of global companies.
Speakers
We were honoured to welcome the following speakers:
Leo Saito (#PwC / Manager)
Eri Sasaki (#Canva / Product Localisation Manager)
Joy Yu (#Deloitte / Senior Consultant)
The speakers candidly shared not only their career development journeys and the values they prioritise in the workplace, but also the challenges commonly faced in career growth, such as gender bias and environmental bias.

They also spoke openly about:
What they focused on during their university years
Things they regret and lessons learned
Efforts they made to connect their studies to their careers
The realities of their day-to-day work
All insights were shared based on their real-life experiences.
A Place for Learning and Connection
Held at the PwC Sydney (Barangaroo) office, offering stunning views of Sydney’s prime city location, the seminar, networking session, and discussions—enjoyed alongside light refreshments—created a highly meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.

Aiming for Study Abroad Support Linked to Careers
Women Can Fly.Co (WCF) aims to transform study abroad from a temporary experience into a turning point in one’s life and career.
By positioning study abroad as a key crossroads, we seek to expand each participant’s potential. This philosophy forms the foundation of Women Can Fly.Co’s Australia study abroad support and career development services.
Through learning and connections that directly link to careers, we empower the next generation to thrive globally. This event was designed as a tangible expression of that vision.

What Women Can Fly Values
This event was not simply a networking event. It represents Women Can Fly.Co’s core commitment to study abroad support that leads directly to career outcomes.
At WCF, we do not view language study as the final goal. Instead, we place the greatest importance on connecting study abroad experiences to future careers.
By providing opportunities like this—where participants can engage directly with professionals working at global companies such as PwC, Canva, and Deloitte—participants gain learning not as abstract knowledge, but as real-life experience, including:
The type of talent actually sought in Australia
The realities of building a career and making career decisions
First-hand perspectives on diversity and gender in the workplace
The diversity of individual lifestyles and values
Creating these opportunities is at the heart of Women Can Fly.Co’s study abroad support.
We design all our programs with the intention of not ending at “having studied overseas,” but of becoming part of a continuous line that connects life and career—linking one point to the next.

Appreciation & Looking Ahead
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants, our speakers, AJCSoc as our co-host and collaborator, and all sponsors and supporters who made this event possible.
Women Can Fly.Co will continue to create spaces where people—regardless of nationality or background—can envision and build careers that truly reflect who they are.
Thank you for your continued support of Women Can Fly.
